Grieving

Updated: Feb 6

It is the finality of it

that hurts so much.

There is no more,

nor will there ever be,

a "you" or "we",

only "me".

It is done.

Even the "me" that was

is no more.

For the you,

of me and you,

has been permanently removed.

Taken forever away.

It is done.

"Who am I now?"

my heart ask,

as tears bubble forth

cradling the hurt

in their flow.

They are not done.

Patiently

my Soul waits for me.
