"Good-byes" are always hard!

They leave such an ache in the heart.

Though we know the Special Someone

has crossed our path with Divine Purpose,

though we know they must walk through new doors,

though we know their journey is not ours,

their going leaves a space that feels impossible

to fill.

Yet, in the kindness of time, the loss is softened

with memories of blessings received,

and with gratitude for what could only have been as it was.

And we, too, move on in our journey

with the gift of their having been woven

into the fabric of our lives.
